Tanya Brown

Advocate, Life Coach and Speaker

Tanya Brown

When people think of Tanya and her family it is often in connection with the murder of her sister Nicole Brown Simpson. What people do not know is that she suffered a mental breakdown TEN years after that experience. This breakdown placed Tanya in an in-patient and out-patient program for many months.

Tanya has recognized since her mental breakthrough how domestic violence survivors suffer from a sort of mental anguish. Her message of despair and hope will inspire you to take action on your life and live by YOUR OWN expectations. Now, using her own personal experiences, Tanya focuses on the causes, recognition and effective coping skills necessary to manage stress, depression and anxiety. She emphasizes the significance of proper self-care in achieving and sustaining an optimal quality of life.

Tanya is an advocate, author, speaker and mental health coach and consultant who helps others help themselves by providing tools for heightened mental clarity and awareness. She empowers her audiences and clients to remain disciplined and focused so they will reach their ultimate goal of optimum mental health. She is driven by her passion to help people in the community and businesses instill wellness on a regular basis to ensure better service to themselves and others. Tanya is passionate about reaching out to college students to help them understand the importance of self care to prevent depression, stress, anxiety and maybe suicide contemplation; and to the everyday person who just feels too overwhelmed.

She is a contributing author of Stepping Stones to Success: an Anthology book. Tanya is also working on transcribing her journals from her hospitalization to help others turn their mental breakdown into a mental breakthrough. Recently, she was a keynote speaker at the 6th Annual World Conference to Promote Mental Health and Prevent Mental Illness in Washington, D.C. and has been featured on Larry King Live, Good Morning America, Inside Edition and The Insider to educate our communities on the dynamics of Domestic Violence.
